Tommorow Matters Radio Show Deborah Lindsay, KRXA 540 AM, Central Coast, CA, 1 hour live interview 10/23/08

Within Reach was interviewed for an hour on this sustainability radio show. Due to sound quality requirements they asked us to call from a land line telephone, rather than a cell phone or Skype internet phone. We were bicycling to LA on the day of the scheduled radio interview, and we found ourselves unable to get to our destination, LA Ecovillage, in time to get to a land line. So we made the decision to call from a payphone. As we learned during the interview, payphones only allow calls to toll free numbers for 10 minutes before they cut off. Deborah and her engineer Jeff were so helpful and fun about the way they dealt with this inconvenience. They just went with the flow and shared some wisdom about how when we try to live alternative lifestyles, technology and life won’t always work in the same way we have come to expect it, but if we can learn to let go of that expectation, we can find many ways to make life work!
